Can I Trademark a Book Title?
You can trademark a book title in certain circumstances, namely if you’ve created a series around that work. A single book title is not protected under trademark law, however, once you draft and market a series of books with a common title, you’ll be able to trademark the title of the series. This is because a series is similar to a franchise in that there is one main overarching entity and a number of smaller works under its umbrella, like Star Wars or Star Trek.
